When you talk about artists are you speaking of painters, musicians, actors? If so then there is many musicians such as David Foster (producer - has done Whitney Houston, Dolly Parton, Natalie Cole for example), Celine Dion, Bryan Adams, Ann Murray, Rush, The Guess Who to name a few. For painters, Emily Carr is one of the top Canadian ones, her work is incredible. She is also a writer. Lucy Maude Montgomery is famous for writing the Anne of Green Gables series all based on her home in Prince Edward Island. Those are the ones I can think of. Q. I am from the UK, and considering moving to New Orleans next year. I am a theatre and festival producer. Is there a decent arts/entertainment infrastructure in the city these days? Sure, things like Mardis Gras and the Jazz Festival continue, but are there year-round opportunities to work in things linke theatre. Or is there at least a latent audience that would be interested if I worked towards starting a new arts centre down there? Any advice or opinions are most appreciated!
