Q. me and my boyfriend are contemplating moving from chicago to los angeles. i have quite a few friends who live in that area but he doesnt. i was wondering aside from securing employment, what are the biggest adjustments we need to be aware of (aside from weather of course) i would appreciate any constructive opinions. thanks, west of encino! i wonder how difficult it is to secure employment there coz i know here in chicago its pretty darn tough. Do not make the mistake of moving for merely warmer weather. There are plenty of warm-weather cities in the Southwest that are: much less populated, have affordable housing, have cheaper cost of living, have less traffic, less crime and gang activity, and less air pollution. Don't think it's like what you see on Laguna Beach - that's only real for the mega-wealthy. You may think it would be nice to live by the beach, many people dream of beach-life, being all cozy and laid back. In reality, you'll go to the beach a lot the first year you live here and then novelty wears off. I know people who haven't sat on the beach in their swimsuits in a couple of years. … [cont.] Answered by Yepper - Tue Jun 9 15:57:16 2009 Is the feud between The Angels Front Office and the City of Anaheim finally over? Q. I havn't read anything in the paper, or heard anything on the news, but there seems to be speculations from various Angels Fans that there is still bad bllod between The Angels LP and The Anaheim City Council. Asked by ArmadaFan - Sun Mar 25 16:14:29 2007 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments A. The simple answer is, the City lost in court. The OC Register was reporitng that the City Council does not want to commit extensive resources, i.e. money to fight Moreno and the name change. Now, make no mistake that Anaheim is not happy with any of this. They assert that it costs them millions in media exposure, and potential tourist revenue. The issue is dead, but you can bet that the City will be in no hurry to make Arte's life any easier. In time the Council will turnover, and reluctant acceptance will prevail. Iris/Goo Goo Dolls Answered by the gr8t one - Thu Dec 13 10:20:47 2007 From Yahoo Answer Search: "City of Angels" City of Angels is a 1998 film about an angel watching over Los Angeles who begins finding his job difficult as he falls in love with a beautiful heart surgeon. She becomes interested in him, and soon his not-quite-mortal state seems a barrier rather than a gift. A choice must be made between celestial duty and earthly love. It is a remake of Wim Wenders' 1987 German film Wings of Desire, which was set in Berlin.
