Question about 7 Layer Dip? Is the taco seasoning supposed to mixed with the sour cream or the refried beans?
Q. I've found recipes where the seasoning is either mixed in with the sour cream or mixed in with the refried beans or bother? Also, could you please list for me the 7 usual ingredients used in a classic 7 Layer Dip and the order by which they should be spread into the dish?

A. This is only one variation. I chose it because it explains to put the taco seasoning in with the beans. There are no set recipes when it comes to this dip. I add black olives, diced tomatos etc... Fantastic Seven Layer Dip 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans 1 (1 1/4 ounce) package regular taco seasoning mix 8 ounces sour cream (low-fat is okay) 8 ounces prepared guacamole (store-bought or home-made) 1 cup shredded four-cheese Mexican blend cheese or cheddar cheese (is fine) 1 cup mild salsa 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies 1/3 cup sliced green onions 16 ounces tortilla chips In a small bowl, combine beans and the taco seasoning mix. Spread the bean/taco mix evenly over the bottom of an 8-inch square serving… [cont.]

A. You could always try a dating site, that way you know the people you are going to talk to are open to dating. Other than that, try joining groups or clubs that you can participate in that interest you and you may meet someone from that.

A. Service, Service, Service. It doesn't matter what style restaurant it is, having attentive staff is the best thing you can do. A server who knows how to "read" a table whether they are there to be intertained, or want a very private meal is a keeper. Clean and neat atmostphere can be a close second. It doesn't have to be the new and fresh place in town, as long as it is nice. a pos system that is easy to teach, understand, and modify is important. Work on a few signitures dishes, whether they are salads, certain entrees, or a special dessert, make something people will come back for. You want people to say: wow, they have the best...in town. OR If you like...you have to go to this place. Have 2 of every piece of equiptment… [cont.]

Q. Is it ok to let my two 7 year old parakeets with unclipped wings fly away in Massachusetts? They have been in a cage together for 7 years, and their wings have never been clipped, and they have never come out of their cage.

A. Most captive birds who are't properly taught how to fly (ascend, descend, turn, and other manuevers) won't make it in the wild because they do not possess the flight skills outdoor wild birds do in order to get away from them. So really, you would more than likely be sending them to their death as they won't know what they can and can't eat or what is dangerous and what itsn't. It's natural for birds who get out to fly higher and higher and as they do, because they don't know how to properly descend (the hardest skill to learn) the air gets thinner and thinner and they eventually pass out. You may want to give them to a wildlife center where they can be kept in a large aviary or build a large aviary yourself for them. More on flight; … [cont.]

Can I use a 7 inch round cake tin for a recipe that is meant for a 9 inch round cake tin ?
Q. Can I simply convert the original recipe on a proportionate basis? Say eg, if the recipe says 2 cups, could I change it to 1.5 cups (7/9 times 2 cups). What about the length of baking time ? Thanks!
Asked by orangejuicelite - Tue Oct 30 21:45:36 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I would suggest making the recipe in full and simply cutting back on how much you put into the cake pan --- consider making some cupcakes with it instead... cutting recipes with cakes usually turns out unfortunately! Also, it will probably cut off about 5-10 minutes of baking time, so just make sure you check it with a toothpick prior to the original cooking time given. Good luck!

Will deep frying a 7 layer burrito from taco bell work like deep frying a chima changa?
Q. Im vegetarian and the only burrito I would get from taco bell is a 7 layer burrito. Would it turn out like a chima changa would? Nvm I found out they are called chimichanga's and you can put anything you want in them.

A. I wouldn't deep fry it because you can't really seal the filling in and it would fall apart in your oil. You could crisp it in shallow oil in a skillet.

How long will a chapter 7 bankruptcy delay a foreclosure in Colorado?
Q. My townhome is scheduled for foreclosure sale date May 13th 2009. My chapter 7 bankruptcy will be filed 3/25/09. How long will this delay the foreclosure sale?
Asked by BRANDI A - Tue Mar 24 00:51:08 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. It will delay it as long as the bank doesn't take action - however, the bank can pull themselves out of it (almost immediately) and proceed with the foreclosure. They will file (if severely delinquent and not notified that your intent is to let the house go in the BK) a Motion for Relief. Once that is granted they will continue foreclosure proceedings, your credit goes back to reporting delinquent on the house payment, then pre-foreclosure, foreclosure, etc. Now you will have both a BK and a Foreclosure on your credit. The other thing is that if you would like to keep the house, once you file BK, you will not be eligible for any type of workout from your service or the government. The BK is your workout. Do you really want to go this… [cont.]

A. A cat needs to scratch, that's natural behavior and should not be punished at all! sometimes though, this behavior can interfere with our lifestyle and we don't want our best sofa or newly fitted carpet being used as a scratching ground. Cats scratch because they want to keep their claws in good shape. the claw-nails are shed and underneath sits a new and sharp nail which provides the best protection possible for self-defense. Scratching is also a form of territory marking. every time a cat scratches, it leaves its personal scent behind. small glands between the toes make that possible. The first step is to get her out of pullups or diapers and into regular underpants. Why? The pullups and diapers do such a good job of absorbing the urine that the child never really experiences being wet. How long to cook a 7 oz sirloin on a George Foreman grill?
Q. I have a 7 oz sirloin that I want cooked rare. I don't have a traditional grill, so I am wrapping it in foil and cooking it on my George Foreman grill. So anyhow, I was wondering how long I should cook it for to get it rare.

A. Do not wrap in foil. Cook on the grill 10 to 12 minutes for rare.

How can we contact Channel 7 personalities, especially the sports commentators?
Q. I would love to be able to write fan letters, and also send questions, to such Channel 7 sporting personalities as Bruce McAvaney and Peter Donegan. If anyone can help me, it would be most appreciated.

How do I get a 7 month old baby to sleep through the night?
Q. I have a 7 month old baby who is pretty happy. She takes two 1 1/2- 2 hour naps during the day no problem. However, she is still getting up 1-2 times a night to feed. I am not breastfeeding and she is getting cereal right before bed. The doctor says there is no reason that she should be getting up to feed and that she should be sleeping through the night. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get her to sleep through the night? I have researched the Ferber method and other sleep situations and I am willing try anything. I am looking for the best suggestions that you have tried, before I go out on my own. This is the hardest thing ever and I do not know of anyone else in my situation. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

A. I know it sounds cruel, but this works. Just don't give her the bottle. She will cry for about an hour the first night. Maybe half an hour the second, and possibly a little the third. When my daughter did this, I let her sleep in bed with me (only when she woke up though) and after three nights, she was sleeping through the night, no problem. Your daughter is only waking up out of habit, she can't change the habit without your help. Your doc is right, she doesn't need the extra meals, but she will continue to wake if you don't do something. This also teaches her how to self sooth. I learned the hard way, my daughter didn't sleep through the night till she was 18MO because I couldn't stand to hear her cry for a bottle and would… [cont.]
